Combine first 7 ingredients, stirring with a wire whisk; set aside.

Combine rice, milk, sugar and butter. Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 30 minutes, stirring often.

Cut the sliced bread into 1/2-inch cubes. Toss with the raisins and cinnamon in a large bowl.
